Top golfers, including the world number one, teamed up with major talents from sport and entertainment to compete at the Swiss brand’s first Invitational

The event, held in Fort Lauderdale Florida, reflected OMEGA’s passion for golf and long-running support of the global game. The brand has been title sponsor of the OMEGA Masters since 2001 - the professional tournament, played in the Swiss mountains includes a Celebrity Pro-Am, which served as inspiration for the OMEGA Invitational.

OMEGA’s debut event in Fort Lauderdale attracted some of the sport’s biggest hitters. Leading the four-player teams in Florida were World number one Rory McIlroy and three other OMEGA ambassadors: Michelle Wie, Danielle Kang and Justin Suh.

The Swiss brand’s US course of choice was the Pine Tree Country Club. One of Florida’s top five clubs and a suitably luxurious setting for an exclusive OMEGA event.

OMEGA’s celebrity guest list included the Karate Kid and star of ‘Cobra Kai’, Ralph Macchio; star of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, Candice King; entertainer and TV host of ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars’, Alfonso Ribeiro; and Chace Crawford, star of the Amazon Prime series ‘The Boys’.

From the world of sports came professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler as well as athlete and philanthropist, Tim Tebow. Taking the solo musician spot was singer/songwriter Mat Kearney.

Thrilled to finish a busy year on a high note, OMEGA’s President and CEO Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann said, “Tournaments like this remind us of why we started playing sport in the first place. The joy of it. Golf is challenging and OMEGA is hosting some of the game’s greatest players in Florida. It’s still about doing your best, playing to win, but it’s great to hear that everyone has had a lot of laughs on the way to that final putt.”

Off course, guests enjoyed top-level entertainment, including cocktails and a traditional Floridian clam bake, hosted by the legendary Chef Beau MacMillan, as well as a live acoustic set from musician Mat Kearney.
